The original Warford transmission was an auxiliary unit that replaced 12 inches of the drive shaft at the rear of the engine.  This unit adds four additional forward speeds, two reverse speeds and a true neutral position for safer starting and idling to your "T"

The KC WARFORD transmission is easy to shift under power and you don't have to use the clutch.  It uses the latest in gear cutting and design technologies so you cannot get the gearbox stuck between gears.  It is a complete redesign of the original but is a bolt in replacement or add-on. 

The LAYNE version uses modern dog type constant engagement technology, just like the current professional auto racing transmissions.  The old fashioned tapered roller bearings have been replaced with ball bearings so the preload is always correct.  The shifter throw is 1.5 inches instead of 4 for easier shifting.  Even the gear teeth are improved for quiet trouble free operation.

All new components, aluminum case for weight savings over the cast iron versions.  All components are CNC machined.  Materials used, heat treatment, and tolerances are state of the art just like our racing transmissions.
